How file date changer works

Choose Change dates, select your files and enter the new date. JPEG editing updates the EXIF DateTime, DateTimeOriginal and DateTimeDigitized fields while retaining other existing EXIF data. PDF and Office editing updates embedded document creation and modification dates. These are different from filesystem timestamps, which your operating system sets when a file is downloaded.

Good to know

For JPEGs, the selected value is written as a local camera timestamp without a timezone. Document dates use your browser’s local timezone. Date editing is separate from metadata cleaning and can retain other personal fields.

Three simple steps

  1. Select your supported files or drag them into the tool.
  2. Choose Change dates, enter your date and click Update dates.
  3. Review the report and download your results.
