How office metadata remover works
Modern Office files are ZIP packages. This tool removes core, custom and application properties and their package references. Those properties can contain author names, company information, revision counts and document dates. The text, slides, formulas and media remain in the package.
Good to know
Comments, tracked changes, hidden sheets, speaker notes and metadata inside embedded media are document content and are not removed. Review them separately. Legacy DOC, XLS and PPT files are not supported.
